Didn't we JUST lynch saddam huisen for doing shit like this? AKA, indefintley detaining individuals in prison camps, where they are isolated from the outside world (lawyers, families, etc.), and theirfore vulnerable to being subjected to basically anything, including torture, which is now basically legal? The problem with this is it gives a small handful of individuals, the power to basically make their own rules, with no supervision, and no acountability. This was common practice with the U.S.S.R secret police, as well as other dangerous regimes through history. I love our country, and am thankful for the liberties that I enjoy, and that is why this scares me so much. This is a threat to our liberty. They use the reasoning that basicaly "if your not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about" The problem being that they decide what is wrong, and they don't have tell anybody what it is, and theirs no way for anyone who is victimized by this to do so either. Since we don't know for sure right now what is "wrong", it is leaves the door open for some frightening possibilities. The soviet union started doing things like this and look what that escalated into?
