If you and your best friend were lost in a desert and they asked you for a sip of your water, you would give them some and not expect anything in return. Likewise they would leave some water for you too because they are you friend and they know you need some too. We make life out to be much like a dessert where one can survive only by working to eak out an existene for themselves and (sometimes not even) those close to them. I find this unfortunate because if we all could just give eachother a little sip of our water as though we were best friends we ould all exist in peace rather than in conflict over who can gather up the most for themselves. There for from my point of view money is counterintuitive to this idea of a sharing society. The pursuit of paper and metal which mean nothing more than what we have attached to them is so strong in our society that we are no longer aware of the desert around us. We seak our promise land through worthless currency when the only true way to enter is through our hearts and faith in eachoter. The Israelites were cast out of the promise land back into the desert due to this lack of faith and we have been wandering ever since hoping we can by our way into happiness. The only way to achieve true happiness is through poverty and virtue (like Buddah, Jesus, St.Francis, etc.) Basicaly, material is the enemy of contentment. Virtue is the key to true peace with one's self and all around them. How can one be at peace inwardly when constantly at war outwardly? You cannot place a price on such thing. Adam and eve lived together free and happy and unashamed of themselves and a peace with nature before they ate of the tree of knowledge. Now if a man a women lived like that they would be frowned upon as unclean, uneducated, uncivilized, in a word, natural. I understand that we need food to survive but their sno reason why we can't all grow our own and share it. Today in most "civilized" societies your expect and taught from birth that to be happy you MUST eat of the tree of knowledge. Society will not accpe happiness in any other for unless it is on societies terms, AKA, big house, high paying job, lots of money, nice clothes, etc. We have become so subject to material that we are confused and disgusted by tthe true beuty of pure natural life and love such as Adam and Eve lived. I think the promise land has been right under our noses all along, right outside our doors in the trees and firled and I say we should return to it. I'd rather die naturaly than live artificialy. Wasn't original sin the complication of life through unnecicary intelectual knowledge anyway? You don't need to know how the intricasies of plant cellular stucture to apreciate the way a flower smells. You dont need to know how to calculate the volume of a sphere or the history of our solar system to apreciate the beuty around us in earth and above us in the night sky. You don't need to do know how human sex hormones work in order to experience love. Hate is taught and developed. Life and inner peace cannot be taught or learned, only experienced.
