When asked which is the greatest commandment, Jesus replied,
"Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it. Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." [Matt22:37-40]

is that really so hard? Just show love to those around you? Even if theyre different or whatever? To people who hate gays and base that hatred on religion what about this:

Mathew 7:1 Judge not lest ye be judged
Leviticus 19:17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him
Leviticus 19:33 And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him.
Leviticus 19:34 But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

Their is nothing said in the bible that really can contradict Mathew 22:37-40 because we are told it is the foundation for ALL other laws and commandments. And if your not religious is loving people and and being kind to strangers and people different than you really such a bad idea? I choose to follow thse because I think they are good guidlines for making the world around me a better place, not because I'm afraid of some firey eternal suffering place. If i go to hell on a techinichality like not keeping kosher then so be it at least i'll have done some good in my life. And whos to say what really happens after death anyway?
